<br>Abia State has been confirmed as the host for the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship, scheduled from 11 to 21 September 2025.

<br>Seventeen clubs are competing in this second-tier womens football league, aiming for promotion to the NWFL Premiership. They will be divided into four groups, with the top team from each group earning a place in the elite division for the 2025/2026 season.
