Abia State has been confirmed as the host for the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship, scheduled from 11 to 21 September 2025.
Seventeen clubs are competing in this second-tier women’s football league, aiming for promotion to the NWFL Premiership. They will be divided into four groups, with the top team from each group earning a place in the elite division for the 2025/2026 season.
